November's Council and PA Meeting

Last night we had our Council and PA meetings. They were both brisk, to the point, informative, productive, and on time. In fact, we got out of the second meeting a few minutes early.

Thank you to everyone who came out and participated.

Some of the highlights:

• Mr. Barkley demonstrated the new Parent/Teacher Interview online appointment maker - www.pickatime.com
  
• He presented the school's development plan, which will be posted soon
  
• Talked about the Christmas concert a bit,
  
  
  saying that the Haultain students would be putting on their own concert as the MTS staff has decided to do their concert after they move into their new building
• We talked about the CEOP process and the next steps, we must remain engaged as the next step involves community input to the Trustees
• We talked about the fine arts curriculum proposals and I reported on the CAPSC meeting I attended
• We received the financial report from Lynn and the treasurer's monthly report from Tracey (thank you ladies)
• We made motions to subsidize the Bird Sanctuary program for Grade 6, and to fund some A/V equipment for the Christmas Concert.
