One of the items we discussed and voted on last night was a donation to this group. There were a few questions and this web site explains it all. Briar Hill was in the same boat as we are (they had extra funds) and decided to help out other schools in our community. It is often said that charity starts at home and we have decided to practice a little of that concept. I'll provide more detail as we go through the process.

Education Matters
One of the items we discussed and voted on last night was a donation to this group. There were a few questions and this web site explains it all. I like the idea of helping out another school that's not as fortunate as Haultain, Shane. Good idea.

ReplyDeleteI think the money just goes into a big pot - and it gets doled out to the schools that need it most. I'm not positive, though - maybe Shane knows for sure.
ReplyDeleteThat's right, the fund is executed by Education Matters. And the way I understand it, this particular fund goes to public schools in Calgary.
