This is appalling on many levels. When did it become acceptable for the student not to take responsibility for getting his work in to the teacher. That is after all the student's chief job in the parent teacher relationship. The teacher is probably tired of chasing down students who choose not to complete an assignment. And instead of backing the teacher, we as a society find this practice acceptable??? What happens when the student reaches a work environment and there are deadlines. If you don't meet your deadlines you'll eventually get fired, are we preparing our kids for that? We could use a little more accountability in our children's lives.
